Properties and benefits of chlorella

Chlorella seaweed is a plant that belongs to the genus of freshwater algae. It is widespread and its best-known representative is Chlorella Vulgaris.

Our food contains hundreds of components, many of which are of great importance to the human organism. As you know, these include the usual suspects: vitamins, fiber and minerals, and trace elements.

In addition to fats and carbohydrates, they form the most important nutrients your body needs to stay healthyfit, and vital. But there are also numerous substances that are not as well known. Chlorella algae are one of them.

From the biochemical point of view, it is a small individual cell. Oddly enough, it is one of the most sophisticated living beings on earth, although it could not even be seen with the naked eye.

As a plant that has the highest chlorophyll content, which assumes very important tasks in your body, if you consume it.

What is the effect of algae?

Chlorella is a true versatile talent and extends its benefits to each of the cells in your body.

As you know for sure, your body constantly renews its gray matter. Your skin, for example, never stays the same. Your cells are renewed daily. There is a very specific substance that increases the ability to protect and regenerate your body’s cells.

In other words, cell renewal is faster. Not only does this have the advantage that wounds heal faster, for example, it also prevents skin aging. This substance is called chlorophyll and, as you have learned, the legendary seaweed has the most.

Chlorophyll has even more benefits.

Its strong alkaline effect ensures a balanced acid-base balance and strengthens your circulatory and digestive systems.

Chlorophyll is also often used to detoxify the body because its antioxidant properties prevent your body from having free radicals. It prevents inflammatory processes and can even prevent cancer.

But that is not all. In addition, it contributes to the faster formation of red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen to their organs. The result is a greater performance of all of them. At the same time, improve cellular respiration and activate your metabolism.

In addition, it protects the cell walls of your cells from the entry of bacteria, so your immune system works more efficiently. It is also a much-appreciated source of protein. Protein, which in turn provides you with energy and, when you exercise, promotes muscle growth.

Where does the algae is produced?

Chlorella is a freshwater plant and can be grown in aquaculture farms around the world. It grows predominantly in warmer regions. The largest chlorella farms can be found in the United States, Asia, China, and Latin America.

At least some of these countries should worry you because in places of Latin America and Asia in particular are not so careful when it comes to pollution. Generally, there are no savings on industrial chemicals, crop protection agents, and heavy metals, and of course, these are also deposited in plants.

So pay attention from what country the seaweed comes from!

Side effects and side effects

Chlorella algae contain vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, biotin, vitamin C, high doses of vitamin D, vitamin B5, vitamin E, magnesium, calcium, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, iodine, zinc, iron, copper, and a lot of chlorophyll.

But you must be careful. Cheap products from the countries mentioned before are often contaminated with toxic substances. With this, they no longer detoxify your body but poison it. And to make it clear: this is not a probability, but a fact.

To name just a handful of the side effects that threaten you when you take cheap seaweed: nerve disorders, brain damage, and cancer are three serious effects of a contaminated algae plant. If you want to be sure, you better trust organic products.

Most reputable manufacturers recommend taking 5 to 10 tablet pills 1-2 times a day, but be sure to pay attention to the manufacturer’s information about the product you own or intend to buy.

For healthy people who take chlorine algae in an equally healthy dose, the plant has few or no side effects. Some people initially react to them with flatulence, fatigue, headaches, and digestive problems, but they tend to remain in the background and can be seen as a result of detoxification.

These are the “worst” side effects even when taken in large quantities. By way of comparison: if you eat a lot of chocolate and then drink chlorella, to rid your body of harmful industrial sugar, the side effects are more or less the same.

It only takes some time for your metabolism to adapt to the new healthier lifestyle.

Chlorella seaweed as a dietary supplement

It is not easy to find “natural” Chlorella algae unless you have a small aquatic farm. But that is not too tragic, because the processed form of Chlorella is no longer so expensive and the work to process it has already been done for you.

Instead of in its pure form, you can buy Chlorella as a powder or as capsules. Since dietary supplements are dosed differently, you should also pay attention to the manufacturer’s information.

As a healthy person, you should not consume more than 3-4 grams of Chlorella a day. If there is a greater need, it can also be 5-10 grams or more per day. Only a doctor can determine if you have a greater need.

Not everyone can tolerate such a high amount immediately. So, do you feel strong side effects? What is recommended is to establish a lower dose at the beginning (with 2-3 grams per day) and then slowly increase it to the desired or required dose.

In addition, you should not take the amount at once. Distribute the intake of Chlorella algae two or three times a day and give your body enough time to deal with it. For example, you can eat them with the three main meals. If you have it in powder, even stir it directly in your food.

For more effective effects, it is better to drink two liters of water without gas a day.

Chlorella vs algas Espirulina

It seems that Chlorella algae are unrivaled, right? It is not entirely true, because another seaweed is becoming increasingly famous. We are talking about spirulina algae. And definitely: both have their similarities, but also significant differences.

The spirulina belongs to the oldest plants in the world compared with Chlorella.

It has been on Earth for 3.5 billion years. The researchers assume that it even enriched the primordial atmosphere with oxygen and, therefore, decisively shaped its current terrestrial atmosphere.

Spirulina also contains all kinds of vitamins, but it is far from being so rich in the valuable chlorophyll plant substance. With regard to the Chlorella modes of action mentioned above, it can be said that spirulina algae cleanse the intestine, blood, and liver less efficiently than Chlorella algae.

In terms of digestion, however, spirulina is one step aheadIt has a high protein content and its nutrients are generally more compatible with metabolism than with Chlorella.

Improves digestion

The fact that Chlorella algae are generally not tolerated as well is due to the fact that they have a very special type of cell wall, digestion naturally attacks your body, but cannot completely decompose it.

This disadvantage can also be an advantage because optimal detoxification is only guaranteed in this case due to a lack of tolerance. The reason: the remaining parts of the cell walls act as a kind of sponge.

This sponge in turn absorbs contaminants (for example, such heavy metals) and, therefore, ensures that they do not return to the bloodstream. By the way, this is also the reason why Chlorella is used in the removal of mercury after amalgam removal.

After a while, these “sponges” along with all the contaminants are naturally excreted from your body. As you can see, we didn’t lie when we said that Chlorella algae are true talents.

Dosed correctly and together with at least two liters of water a day, Chlorella can increase your overall well-being and maintain your health.
